Custom Fit San Francisco

Custom Fit offers nutrition coaching with Registered Dietitians in San Francisco, including personalized meal plans and ongoing support. If you are unsure which format fits your needs, a complimentary 20-minute consultation gives you a place to discuss your goals and ask about next steps.

The useful distinction is the type of support you want. A meal plan provides structure around food choices. Ongoing coaching gives you more opportunities to discuss what is working, what is difficult, and which adjustments fit your life.

When a personalized meal plan may fit

Custom Fit's meal-plan offering is built around your goals, lifestyle, dietary preferences, and needs. It includes nutrition guidance and tailored adjustments rather than one menu intended for everyone.

The listed 2-Session Advanced Meal Plan package includes an initial session, a check-in, a customized meal plan with recipes, and calorie and macronutrient recommendations. It also includes two DEXA scans and access to app-based tracking.

A useful consultation question is how the plan would fit the meals you already eat, your work schedule, and your training routine. Share dietary restrictions and preferences at the start so the discussion reflects your circumstances.

When ongoing coaching may fit

Nutrition coaching offers regular conversations with a Registered Dietitian and practical tools to support habits. Custom Fit's listed 4-Session Nutrition Coaching Package includes one initial session and three check-ins, education, recipes and restaurant suggestions, app-based food tracking and chat support, and one DEXA scan.

For a longer period of support, the 6-Month Transformation Package lists 12 appointments in total: one initial session and 11 check-ins. It includes a personalized health plan, nutrition education, app support, selected resources, and two DEXA scans.

The number of appointments is one difference between the options. The consultation is also an opportunity to ask which format best matches the amount of structure and follow-up you want. Check the current nutrition offerings for package details.

How does DEXA fit into nutrition coaching?

Some nutrition packages include DEXA body-composition scans. A scan provides information about fat and lean tissue that can be discussed alongside your food habits, activity, and goals. It is one source of information in the conversation, not a complete nutrition plan by itself.

At Custom Fit, DEXA scans are performed and analyzed by a Registered Dietitian or Exercise Physiologist at 323 Octavia Street in Hayes Valley. This body-composition service does not diagnose osteoporosis or replace medical bone-density screening.

What to bring to the free consultation

You do not need to arrive with a finished food log or a perfectly defined goal. It can help to think through a few questions in advance:

  • What would you like support with: food choices, meal structure, training nutrition, or consistency?
  • Which parts of your routine are easy to maintain, and which are difficult?
  • Do you prefer a written plan, regular conversations, or both?
  • Are there dietary restrictions or relevant medical guidance the dietitian should know about?

The complimentary 20-minute conversation is a no-obligation introduction. It is separate from a full assessment or a paid coaching package.
