What to Expect During Testing

Preparation

  • Avoid strenuous workouts for 24 hours and refrain from eating or consuming caffeine for at least 3 hours prior to your test.  
  • Additional preparation details will be sent via email after booking.

THE TEST

  • Wear a face mask connected to a metabolic analyzer.
  • Perform a graded exercise test (treadmill or bike) that increases in intensity until maximum effort is reached.
  • The cardio portion lasts 8-15 minutes, with the full appointment taking about 45–60 minutes, including setup and cooldown, and results explanation.
  • Submaximal VO2 Max tests can also be conducted, allowing for an extrapolated VO2 Max score based on the trends observed in breathing data during the test.
