The Market Street approach

Structure for people with full calendars.

Living and working in San Francisco can make consistency difficult. Workdays run long, travel interrupts routines, and walking around the city does not always replace purposeful strength or cardiovascular training. Custom Fit Market Street supplies the structure that is often missing: a scheduled appointment, an experienced coach, a prepared program, and a clear reason for each exercise.

Your trainer considers your current fitness, previous injuries, training history, schedule, preferences, and the activities you want to improve. A beginner may spend the first phase learning foundational movements and gaining confidence. An experienced client may focus on progressive overload, power, unilateral strength, or conditioning. A runner may work on calf capacity, hip strength, trunk control, and workload management around upcoming races.

The objective is not to make every session as exhausting as possible. The objective is to apply an appropriate training stimulus, recover from it, and build on it. Exercises are repeated long enough for you to become skilled and stronger. Weight, repetitions, range of motion, tempo, and complexity are progressed deliberately rather than changed randomly.

That continuity matters. It turns isolated workouts into a program and gives your coach useful information. When your strength improves, recovery changes, work becomes more demanding, or a test reveals a different priority, the plan can be updated without starting from zero.

A random workout can make you tired. A well-built program moves you toward a defined result.
Who trains here

Different starting points. One clear process.

Custom Fit personal training is intentionally scalable. You do not need a certain body type, athletic background, or level of gym experience before beginning.

01 / BEGINNERS

Learning the gym without intimidation

Build foundational technique and confidence with direct coaching instead of trying to interpret equipment and workouts alone.

02 / PROFESSIONALS

Efficient training around demanding work

Arrive to a prepared session, train with purpose, and leave without spending additional time deciding what to do.

03 / BODY COMPOSITION

Fat loss while protecting lean mass

Combine progressive strength training, nutrition support, and DEXA data to measure the change that matters.

04 / ATHLETES

Strength that supports your sport

Build capacity around running, cycling, skiing, surfing, golf, or recreational competition without adding random fatigue.

05 / LONGEVITY

Train for future physical capacity

Develop muscle, strength, balance, mobility, and aerobic fitness with a plan designed for years rather than weeks.

06 / RETURNING CLIENTS

Come back without overdoing it

Rebuild workload gradually after an injury, extended break, major life change, or previous stop-and-start routine.

One connected system

Training backed by meaningful data.

The best measurement is not necessarily the one with the most numbers. It is the one that helps your trainer, dietitian, and you make a better decision.

A Custom Fit success story

From “not a gym person” to training independently.

One Custom Fit client began without meaningful strength-training experience and did not consider themselves a gym person. Working with a coach provided a nonjudgmental introduction to foundational exercises and a program that progressed gradually.

During the first eight months, repeat DEXA scans showed a decrease from approximately 23% body fat to 16% body fat. The physical change was important, but the client also described a different kind of progress: gaining enough knowledge and confidence to train independently twice each week while continuing to meet with a coach for guidance and goal-setting.

That outcome reflects the larger purpose of coaching. The goal is not to make training feel inaccessible without supervision. It is to help you understand your program, become more capable, and know how to move forward.

Individual results vary.
