Fresh lemon ginger tea is one of our favorite remedies for times when you’re feeling under the weather, have a sore throat or are suffering from digestive woes. It’s also a delicious anti-inflammatory way to start the day. This recipe can be made ahead in a large batch and reheated or served over ice.
Lemon Ginger Tea
Yield: 1 cup
ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1-2 teaspoons raw honey to taste
- 1 cup boiling water

How to cook Lemon Ginger Tea
- Combine ginger, lemon juice, honey and hot water in a small pitcher, stir and let the mixture steep for 2 minutes.
- Pour tea through a fine mesh strainer into a teacup and enjoy at a tolerable sipping temperature.
NOTES:
Feel free to adjust the ingredients as desired: more honey if you like it sweet, more lemon if you prefer tartness or more ginger for a more spicy tea. You can also double or triple this recipe and reheat or serve over ice.
