How Do I Join Group Classes?
If you are currently training with us:
Login to the Custom Fit Gym app
Click “Book Classes” on the homepage
Select the class(es) you would like to attend
Show up and check in with the instructor!
If you are NOT currently training with Custom Fit:
Download our gym app for the easiest booking experience:
Upon opening the app, click “Join Club”
Complete your profile and select an eligible membership*
Once the membership is on your account, book your class and you’re all set
Show up and check in with the instructor!

Posture, Mobility, & Stability with Melissa Yu
Are you tired of living with persistent pain in your neck, shoulders, or lower back? In this class, you will learn different techniques in how to correct forward head posture, rounded shoulders, slouched or hunched backs, etc. Learn how to mobilize and stabilize different joints in your body along with different exercises to strengthen core, glutes, and hamstrings to support better rib cage and pelvic alignment. Bars and Bells with Isaac Kolberg
Bars and Bells brings together barbells, kettlebells, and dumbbells in a dynamic group class designed to build strength, improve conditioning, and elevate overall fitness. With a focus on functional bodybuilding, this class is tailored to enhance athletic performance and support total well-being. Each session is carefully programmed to meet you where you are, helping you push your limits safely while maximizing muscle growth and metabolic health. Expect a strategic, results-driven workout that challenges and empowers you.
Kettlebell Fundamentals with Pete
Kettlebell Fundamentals is all about mastering the essentials of hardstyle kettlebell training in a step-by-step approach. Each session focuses on perfecting foundational movements, starting with RDLs, goblet squats, and bracing, before progressing to advanced techniques such as swings, presses, and Turkish Get Ups. With movement mechanics as the priority, this class ensures you build strength, control, and confidence with every step. Whether you’re new to kettlebells or refining your skills, this workout balances technique and intensity for lasting results.

Yoga Power Flow + Beats with Colin
Elevate your practice with a power morning flow that blends fluid movement with focused strength-building poses. This class combines dynamic vinyasa flows with strength-building poses, core work, and powerful movements designed to build endurance and stability. Move with purpose, hold with intention, and let the music drive your flow as you cultivate strength and balance.
About The Trainers
Melissa Yu, CMT. CSCS
I graduated from UC Davis in 2014 with a degree in Exercise Biology. I then attended San Francisco School of Massage in 2017 to receive my massage license. Throughout the years, I have worked with a variety of population, including corporate tech workers, doctors, lawyers, weekend warriors, runners, professional/amateur boxers, MMA fighters, professional football players, etc. I am a certified massage therapist and a certified NSCA strength and conditioning specialist specializing in helping people build strength, improve mobility, and overcome injury. I combine both soft tissue mobilization and corrective exercises to help my clients move better. I believe that making each routine functional for clients is key and will help them remain successful in life, no matter what their goals are. I am always finding new ways to better myself and I will easily shift techniques depending on clients’ goals and needs. During my free time I love to box, watch sports, and take high energy group classes around the city. My education, knowledge and experience aid in the evaluation and treatment of my clients.

I started my fitness journey like many other 15 year old kids growing up in San Diego - I signed up for the local gym to get some muscle for the beach! What I didn’t realize when I walked through the doors that day was that I had found something that would ignite a lifelong passion. In 2008 I moved to the bay area to attend Sonoma State University where I would go on to get my bachelors degree in Kinesiology to begin a lifelong pursuit of health, fitness and movement.
In my 10 years as a trainer I have a diverse background of experiences: training in gyms, running large and small groups (indoors and out), rehab clinics, athletic training development, corporate fitness and kettlebell specialization. This wide array of experiences has helped to build a foundation of knowledge and confidence to be able to help anyone achieve any goal they wish to attain
My approach as a trainer is to teach movement, and fundamentally change behaviors. I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach - there are many different paths that lead to success and I am committed to finding the one that will best suit your lifestyle while leading to your goals, so that we can make changes that will last long term. Whatever the path we take, we’ll be sure to improve strength, correct movement patterns and postures, and have fun along the way!
I take a data-driven approach, through testing and tracking, as a way of constant feedback so that we can make sure you are maximizing the results from your hard work. My ultimate driver is to teach and instill a lifelong movement practice with everyone I work with.
